We need to raise
at least £1800 from our street collections this year and suggest a minimum donation of
£1 per person or £2 per family towards the event on the night; our official collectors with buckets will be there to gather your donations – thank you for helping City of Lights to continue!
Without the invaluable support from its sponsors and key partners, the generosity of the public on the night itself, and contributions from schools and groups involved, the City of Lights festival & parade would simply not be possible.
This year City of Lights is delighted to be able to thank the following:
Our major sponsors and partners this year include our key partner Truro Historical Project, alongside University College Falmouth, Truro College, Truro Cathedral, Skinners Brewery, the Lander Gallery & Lemon Street Market, Truro Rotary Club, Hotel Tresanton, The M.I Bar, Community 1st Cornwall, Lillicrap & Chilcott, Messrs Granville Rabey Carlyon, Tony Pryce Sports, Abbey, Swarovski (Plymouth Goldsmiths Trading), Camelot Easy Bet, and Malletts Hardware.
The Rarey Boxes are funded by FEAST from Arts Council England and Cornwall Council.
Also supporting the event are Hall for Cornwall, Creative Edge, Tesco, Round the Clock, The TA Centre, Air Training Corps, Police Cadets, Eurotool, Gould Electronics and Cornwall Cadets.
City of Lights is a non-profit making partnership incorporated as
a Community Interest Company in 2009 and led by a voluntary team of
freelance practitioners and representatives from The Works Dance &
Theatre Cornwall, Kernow Education Arts Partnership, Truro School
of Samba, Cornwall Music Service, Totally Truro Business Improvement
District, Truro City Council, Event Cornwall and Devon & Cornwall
Police.
We are looking to develop a more sustainable festival and are always seeking new supporters, sponsors and fundraising ideas. Please contact us via The Works on 01872 261770 if you would like to support City of Lights in this or any other way.
